A Platform for Students to Make Smart Career Decisions

Gladeo is an organization designed to promote diversity, inclusion and belonging to address challenging barriers that all teens and high school students face when starting their career journeys. Their approach goes beyond typical data-driven career guidance, embracing a comprehensive method that combines self-concept, self-efficacy, and intrinsic motivation with the latest career information, skills, and regional labor market insights.

For their key audiences, teens and high school students, Gladeo’s primary communication platform is their website. When the team at Gladeo approached Stellar, the website was in need of an overhaul. But it was more than just a graphical refresh and rebranding – the website also needed a more effective content strategy, one that helped students quickly and clearly understand Gladeo’s mission and all the ways they can help. Finally, Gladeo needed tighter integration between their website and social media channels. 

Starting with stakeholder interviews, the Stellar team quickly identified key opportunities for improvement. 

1. Our design team worked with Gladeo to update the brand expression and make it more impactful for our target audience. 
2. We reshuffled the site’s organization, layout, and content presentation to simplify and streamline the onboarding process for teens and high school students who enrolled in the program. 
3. We then developed an updated look and feel for the website that dialed-into all of the graphical assets to more strongly support the Gladeo brand and mission. 
4. Finally, we worked closely with Gladeo’s leadership team to define a roadmap that would be used to guide their digital efforts over the next several years.
