Stellar has an on-going, 6+ year relationship with Gemalto, one of the world’s premier providers of Software Monetization and Software Licensing Management solutions. Our first engagement focused on the development of a purpose-built, white label Customer Web Portal (CWP) that could be quickly and efficiency customized for each of Gemalto’s customers. It was an ambitious undertaking and we were eager to get started!

The project began with an in-depth review of competitor products and services in the Software Licensing Management space.

With a series of strategic market opportunities identified, Stellar’s UX team worked closely with Gemalto’s stakeholders to understand the needs, preferences and behaviors of both the target customers who would use the new system, and internal Gemalto stakeholders who would manage the product on behalf of those customers. Our solution focused on converting Gemalto’s desktop licensing product into a web-based application that offered customers a high degree of self-service while delivering customization options so that the product solution could be tailored to each customers unique needs and business situation.

In particular, we focused on creating a product solution and technology stack that would deliver a high degree of operational efficiency for Gemalto so that customized, customer implementations of the white-label product could be handled quickly and efficiently.

The white-label, web-enabled version of Gemaltos’ Software Licensing Management platform debuted in 2018 and is currently being rolled out to customers around the world.
