Did you know that the Port of Long Beach (POLB) is the second largest seaport in the United States? Each year, almost $60B in cargo moves through its berths, while creating 500,000 jobs in Southern California alone. If you look at the U.S. as a whole, the number of jobs that POLB creates jumps to 1.5M! It’s pretty amazing if you stop and think about it.

With a website that was no longer meeting its needs, POLB selected the Stellar team to reimagine and redevelop its online presence. The Port is an incredibly vibrant and diverse place that must serve the needs of an equally vibrant and diverse network of partners that include local and state government; business partners and cargo owners; employees and trade unions; residents, community leaders and the environmental and scientific communities.

The Stellar team created a clean, modern website that drives connections between the Port and its many constituents. The updated user experience focuses on meeting the needs of each audience segment by delivering enhanced self-service features that help users get the most out of their website experience. A new port map allows site visitors to explore the Port’s geography, projects and history in an engaging, interactive way.
